Bartow Against Meth (BAM)
Methamphetamine is one of the most addictive substances known to man. It is designed to make the user feel better than ever at first, but then slowly depletes the body of the chemicals it needs to feel normal and without it you become helpless. “Methamphetamine begins by giving the body wings and then replaces them with a wheelchair.”
Bartow Against Meth (BAM) is a Methamphetamine Abuse Prevention group that is being formed due to the epidemic level of abuse in Bartow County. BAM was formed for the purpose of uniting Bartow County’s community in an effort to combat the Methamphetamine abuse epidemic and its production. The newly formed board is composed of members from the Narcotics Enforcement Team of the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, local Department of Family and Children Services, Tranquility House, Highland Rivers, Bartow Collaborative, Tallatoona CAP, Inc. and other local community agencies.
